I'd like to follow up and confirm that the documentation has indeed been updated to refer to both http and https.
The API works in both modalities.

Login to your account, and select the 'Account' tab and click on the green 'Active' slider, to deactivate your account.

This problem is under investigation. Until fixed - we've automatically substituted other voices for the 2 affected Portuguese voices. You don't need to do anything to take advantage of this temporary workaround.
When the issue is addressed, we will restore the original voices.
